Sheets > blasted

You have great visions. We'll make them shine.

For decorative purposes, we blast surfaces with glass beads, ceramic beads, glass granules or high-grade corundum. By blasting the sheets and components mechanically, an even, directionless, highly decorative and cloud-proof surface is
achieved. In addition, the sheets and components retain their original form (evenness). The blasting also serves as a pre-treatment of surfaces for galvanic, electrochemical and chemical surface finishing (for example, electro-polishing, anodising, colouring).

Effect blasting / matting at Designfactory

Blasting material: The use of various blasting materials leads to varying surface effects (pertaining to colour character, gloss level, roughness). At Designfactory, we use the following blasting materials: glass beads, ceramic beads, high-grade corundum, glass granules.

Granulation:  All granulations can basically be used for very fine to very coarse processing.  Both gloss level and the roughness depth change depending on the granulation.

Surface protection: We cover the sheets with a standard, laser compatible protective film. This makes it possible to perform further processing steps (such as laser, edging, punching, etc.) on previously blasted surfaces, without causing damage.

Contract work: Of course, we also offer complete processing on a commission basis according to your ideas.

Decorative blasting at Designfactory

Decorative surfaces:
Along with complete surface matting, we offer decorative blasting on plane surfaces.
This adds a pattern or motif to the surface as a contrast to the basic surface.  This can be continuous designs (stripes, checks, circles, etc.) as well as other imaginative forms, logos, scripts, insignias, etc.

As a basis for the decoration and pattern, the following sheet surfaces may be used:

  • grinded
  • super mirror polish No.7
  • super mirror polish No.8
  • brushed
  • titanium nitride-coated
  • BA
  • coloured
  • etc.
Formed components:
  • deep-drawn components
  • drawn components
  • embossed components
  • punched components
  • small components
  • others

Applications:
  • façade / metal construction
  • lift industry
  • shop /exhibition construction
  • automobile industry
  • interior design
  • furniture industry
  • kitchen industry
  • door panelling
  • press plates
